Otzar HaHochma is undergoing upgrades at this time and some users may experience technical difficulties. Therefore, Otzar is providing free access to its beta site: which will be free of charge until further notice. There is no sign-in required, and we have found that it works better to access the site directly rather than through the Spertus website. Please note that the printing option and add on packages are not available on the beta site. Also note that the Oz VeHadar package is not currently available on the regular site due to ongoing negotiations between Otzar HaHochma and Oz VeHadar publishers.

Otzar HaHochma*

The world's largest Judaic digital library, containing over 106,250 Hebrew books scanned in their original format and fully searchable. If you receive an "all licenses in use" message, you will need to try again later.

The Encyclopedia of the Bible and Its Reception provides the most current state of knowledge on the origins and development of the Bible in the canons of Judaism and Christianity. It documents the history of biblical reception, not only in the Jewish Diaspora and Christian churches, but also in Islam, other non-Western religious traditions and movements. The Encyclopedia also includes the most recent research on the reception of the Bible in an array of academic disciplines, as well as in literature, visual arts, music, film and dance. (Please note that EBR is a work in progress and articles are currently available through "M")
